- Description
- On behalf of the SEAA organisation and in consultation with the SEAA executive group we responded to the National Curriculum Board's set of questions to assist with feedback to their proposed National History Curriculum. We were part of a large community response to the framing papers with the results of that community response now available. In the History area there were 302 responses. Details of the progress of these curriculum discussions are available on the National Curriculum Board's website at (www.ncb.org.au). Currently the curriculum writers are being prepared with the writing process about to begin. The work of the National Curriculum Board is being wound up with the furtherance of the project to be taken over by the Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA). In 2010 ACARA will be relocated to Sydney and will be furthering a new phase of development for national curriculum for Languages, Geography and the Arts. We welcome members' contributions to these debates. The National Curriculum Board posed questions for response and the questions and our response is [presented here].
